Sunrise Service and Beyond

Like what I have said in my previous blog post, I’ll start my blogging life again. 😛 The association of Christian churches here in Los Baños organized a joint Resurrection Day fellowship last Sunday (April 8, 2012) held at Christian School International (CSI) Gymnasium. There a lot of people (approx. 600+) who came and praised and worshiped the Lord together. It was a great privilege for me to be part of the joint praise and worship team of different Los Baños churches. Our coordinator Ptr. Jun of Miracle Revival Christian Fellowship (correct me if I’m wrong) assigned me as the keyboardist of the band. We had 2 practice sessions in preparation for this.

Here is our line up for the Praise and Worship portion:

  1. Happy Day
  2. King of Glory
  3. He is Lord
  4. Hosanna

We also played famous hymns for the Pastor’s presentation and offering portion:

  1. He Lives
  2. Because He Lives

Here’s a picture of us playing our respective instruments during the Pastor’s presentation:

(That’s me playing our church’s vintage Yamaha PSR series keyboard)

The key message of our speaker Ptr. Don of Evangelical Baptist Church is that there shall be unity between different church denominations. Sometimes we look and compare to other churches about what they have (eg. projectors, awesome sound systems, number of attendees and etc) and  not what is common to all of us that is to glorify the Lord and make disciples. The message of the Lord that day hits the theme of the joint fellowship which is “Christ’s Resurrection: The Center of Church Unity”.

After the service I had the chance to talk and share with some of my friends from the other churches.

As a family, we also celebrated our parent’s 28th year anniversary. We eat and enjoyed our lunch at SM Calamba Pizza Hut.

Unexpectedly, Leira and some other cosplayer friends are also in SM Calamba for their Easter activity.

So much fun and joy. How’s your Sunrise / Easter Sunday? 😀
